GTN-P meeting in Potsdam

Annual GTN-P core meeting in Potsdam, 5 October 2026.

Potsdam, Germany –

The GTN-P office team together with GTN-P Chair Dimtry Streletskiy convened on 5–6 October 2026 at AWI Potsdam for its annual core meeting. A key focus was laying the groundwork for the network’s future development: the team reviewed ongoing improvements to the GTN-P Data Platform, including stronger linkages with national networks, progress towards regular data publications with PANGAEA, and further integration and harmonisation of CALM data. The team also worked on the new Strategy and Implementation Plan (SIP), which will guide GTN-P’s development over the coming years and feed into upcoming discussions with the Steering Committee. Further topics included data certification and the network’s potential role in the International Polar Year.
